Starting in a tiny tent in NYC and expanding across continents, Spiegelworld presents Empire is finally making it’s way to Montreal for a six-week run, April 14th to May 24th.
Boasting “somersaulting, slapsticking and stripteasing,” Empire mixes circus, cabaret, variety and burlesque. We got a sneak preview that was very “Monty Python Presents Fifty Shades of Cirque du Soleil.” The show will take place in a 700-seat antique Spiegeltent adorned with mirrors and velvet booths, as well as a speakeasy-style bar, located at the Terrain de SNC-Lavalin at the corner of René-Levesque and Bleury. The spectacle offers plenty of opportunities for audience participation, so you won’t have to run far away to join the circus.
