London Fashion Week never disappoints, and this year was no exception. Despite fewer shows than usual, the designers that did show and the street style we saw throughout the week have left us with tons of trends to try. From heritage brands like Burberry to exciting newcomers like Harris Reed, this season’s fashion is a creative whirlwind, and we’re here for it. —Alexandra Aulicino
Heritage with a Twist
Polo Ralph Lauren Wool Leonna A Line Skirt
Burberry has always been the epitome of British cool, and this season they brought their signature heritage look to life with a fresh twist. The brand played with textures, introducing fringes and unique accents that made their pieces feel more contemporary, while staying true to their roots. Temperley London and Roksanda also leaned into these rich, tactile textures, making it clear that the tactile elements of fashion will be a must this year.
Ladylike Edge

This season Emilia Wickstead was inspired by the elegant style of Alfred Hitchcock’s 1963 film The Birds, which meant plenty of feminine touches. Think perfectly tailored silhouettes and an ethereal feel that screamed sophistication. The soft pastels and flowing skirts also nodded to femininity, but with the promise of boldness. Speaking of boldness, Richard Quinn kept things ultra-glam with his dramatic gowns, and his use of sparkle—think sequins, tinsel, and paillettes—has us dreaming of a night out in an outfit that demands attention. If you’re into drama and glamour, this one’s for you.
Punk’s Not Dead

Punk made a comeback, courtesy of designers such as Sinead Gorey, who staged her show at a club venue. The rebellious spirit was alive and well with edgy designs, proving that you can still channel that punk energy into your wardrobe today. Leather and studs are definitely in—just remember this trend doesn’t need to be so tough, you can still show off your feminine flair in a leather dress or a studded belt.
Retro Revival
Let’s talk pants. Retro styles are creeping back in, and we’re particularly loving the Capri pants and Bermuda shorts. They’re giving us major 1960s vibes and perfect for when the weather warms up. Meanwhile, bubble skirts are popping up everywhere, adding an interesting silhouette that plays with volume in all the right ways. This season take a step outside of your comfort zone and embrace the bolder pants and skirts that are dominating the runway.
Executive Style
Corporate style is getting a makeover this year, with everything from more traditional office attire to unexpected sexy cut-outs that make your workwear just a touch risqué. Whether it’s the strategic peek of skin or the boldness of a power suit with a twist, workwear is anything but boring in 2025. It’s all about finding that sweet spot between sophisticated and daring.
Top it off with a Hat
Hats were the accessory of choice at London Fashion Week, with everything from retro pillbox hats to veils making a statement. Designers like Huishan Zhang and Emilia Wickstead used hats to top off their looks, making it clear that headwear is officially a thing again. If you’re looking to elevate your outfits, don’t underestimate the power of a bold hat.
Lace, Fur, and Plaid, Oh My!
Lace is back in a big way, but this time it’s not just about delicate touches. Designers like Di Petsa used semi-sheer lace to create looks that were sexy and fresh. Meanwhile, fur trim and accessories made a statement on the runways, showing a side of luxury that’s a little different from what we’ve seen in other fashion capitals this season. Whether it’s fur-lined collars or furry accents, London is bringing the cozy, chic vibes. And, of course we couldn’t forget plaid in London. Tartan in every shape and form ruled the runway, from Burberry’s classic take to more grunge-inspired versions at Sinead Gorey.
Street Style That’s Everything

Of course, London street style has been just as influential as the runways. We’ve seen dressed-up sweatpants paired with shirts and kitten heels—proof that comfort and style can coexist. Feminine jackets, particularly cropped or slim-fitting styles, are everywhere, and we’re here for the departure of oversized and the return of sleek, flattering outerwear. The pastel trend isn’t just for the runway either. On the streets, pastels were paired with brown suede and black leather, blending softness and edginess in the best possible way. Finally, the turn to maximalism was visible everywhere and this season we are seeing it in polka dots, proving that bold prints are officially on the rise. From head-to-toe dots to spotty accessories, if you’re into fun patterns, this is your moment.
