The beloved Drake General Store has been spreading its wings since it
first opened alongside the Drake Hotel on Queen West. The latest member
of the chain family opens its doors today just north of Yonge and
Eglinton, after outgrowing the Rosedale store size.
What do you Uptowners think of all o’ this?
Among the zillions of gift-worthy items, my favourite was the Tobacco
candles. Granted, it’s a $60 candle, but goddamnit it smells amazing.
And it smells a hell of a lot better than that overpriced Elton John
candle. If you need a reason, let’s say Mother’s Day?
Their house line, SHARED, clothed my family over the holidays in their
adult onesies. No judgement please.
Oh- and these pillows. I almost forgot about them. But now I want them
even more.
