A FAIR LADY

April 9, 2008

Sometimes I’m so sweet even I can’t stand it, said Julie Andrews.

Well yeah, with all those roses and kittens and ponies and strudels and
stuff, were not surprised.

But in her memoir,
the grande Dame reveals a darker more difficult time growing up in
war-torn Blighty.

Filled with anecdotes from working with Rex Harrison, Richard Burton and
Dick Van Dyke, this is a wonderful read for all of us who remember how
to spell supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. Backwards.
