Nothing screams summer more than a sweaty, loud, rock music festival.
Now in its third year, Sled
Island Music and Arts Festival, the brainchild of Broken
City owner Zak Pashak, is spread over four days and a variety of
venues and includes over 200 bands, artists, film screenings and comedy
shows.
Your teen angst memories will resurface as Kim and Kelly Deal of The
Breeders (pictured) take the stage while your inner metal head will
emerge at the Anvil show. There are also many much beloved local acts
scheduled including Woodpigeon, Hot Little Rocket and Braids.
Who needs Glastonbury when you have Sled Island?
Sled Island Music and Arts Festival, June 24-28, passes from $99, www.sledisland.com
