Edmonton chef Daniel Costa of Corso 32 fame has opened new Italian eatery, Bar Bricco—and the execution is flawless.
We swooped into the sleek, candle-lit, spuntini bar (think: satisfying, small plates that are more snack than meal) on a Friday night and nestled among the well-dressed, libatious crowd. Bar Bricco’s menu oozes with aged cheeses, fragrant olives, pastas and cured meats shaved fresh off the bone in plain sight at the end of the bar. We washed a rich, egg yolk ravioli down with the bar’s special take on a classic negroni cocktail: one part gin, one part vermouth with a surprise twist of fresh-squeezed tangerine.
Now that’s amore. —Janis Galloway
