Clear your calendar, Vancouver: on Friday, June 7, from 3 to 10 p.m., Midnight Joes is taking over It’s Okay (2481 E Hastings St) for a one-night-only culinary celebration—and you’re invited.
Founded by Drea and Britt, Midnight Joes has been quietly building something special, and this pop-up marks the debut of a thoughtful, flavour-forward menu that blends nostalgic comfort with creative flair. Designed to share and savour, each dish reflects the duo’s passion for bringing people together through food.
The menu? It’s stacked. Think:
- A radish board with leek compound butter, smoked salt and crispy lavash
- Roasted wild mushrooms with creamy garlic sauce
- Seasonal greens tossed with pecorino, green apple, and spiced walnuts in a brown butter vinaigrette
- A trio of GF/DF-friendly röstis—choose from smoked salmon with dill, capers and sour cream; sausage and sauerkraut; or speck ham, brie, and fig jam
- And to finish, a citrus olive oil cake with sour cherry sauce and rosemary whip
Reservations can be made through @itsokay on Instagram (link in bio). Come hungry, bring friends, and celebrate everything that’s gone into making this dream dinner come true. —Vita Daily
