What does $7 million get you?
One of the fanciest facelifts in town.
And we’re not talking about Joan Rivers, here.
Tojo’s Japanese restaurant has just moved up Broadway into a showy new 6,500-square-foot space and we couldn’t wait to visit.
The pièce de resistance is a massive, central, open kitchen with circular sushi bar where you can rub chopsticks with everyone from Jessica Alba to Motley Crüe.
Escape into one of three private rooms (one with its own garden and fireplace) or a tatami room that opens onto the main seating area. Feeling social? Sidle up to the sake bar upfront to sip premium brands.
Savour the presentations—in fall your dish might sit on a Japanese maple leaf, in spring, alongside cherry blossoms.
And if you decide to opt for the chef’s menu, bring your appetite—but don’t forget your wallet.
