Butter may be back, but extra virgin olive oil will always hold a special place in our healthy hearts.

Westmount’s Olives en Folies is a playground for the EVOO-obsessed, offering an international array of oils, including spicy Italian Umbri and rich California Mission varieties, plus flavoured editions like Basil Lemongrass and Roasted Chili. Customers can taste test to their hearts’ content and even create their own tasty combos by mixing the oils with the shop’s selection of aged Modena Balsamic Vinegars (which, too, come in exotic flavours like Chocolate Jalapeño and Espresso Bean). Stuck? Ask for expert pairing tips from staff. We were told to try mixing Tuscan Herb EVOO with Lavender White Balsamic for a summer salad, or White Truffle and Butter flavoured oils for perfect upscale popcorn.
