We cant always count on Mother Nature for a heat wave but at least the
inaugural Calgary
Latin Wave: A Showcase of New Latin American Cinema is sure to spice
things up.
The three-day festival starts tonight and includes the Argentinian
comedy El Nido Vacio (Empty Nest) about the challenges of a
long-term relationship and Oscar-winning crime drama El Secreto de
Sus Ojos (The Secret in Their Eyes) directed by Juan José
Campanella, who has spent the last handful of years directing episodes
of Law and Order, House and 30 Rock.
