Mark your calendars and bring your stretchy pants—B.C.’s ultimate summer celebration is officially here. From August 16 to September 1, the legendary PNE Fair returns, transforming Hastings Park into a full-throttle playground of music, food, rides, and pure good vibes.
“This is where summer memories are made,” says Shelley Frost, PNE President and CEO. And this year, they’re pulling out all the stops: think jaw-dropping concerts, wild new shows, crowd-favourite traditions, and enough mini donuts to last you ‘til next year’s fair.
🎤 Summer Night Concerts are stacked with stars — from Counting Crows and Leon Bridges to Flo Rida, Mother Mother, Meghan Trainor, and even Rainbow Kitten Surprise.
🐾 SuperDogs are back, this time in cowboy boots (figuratively) for Wild Wild Woof, a yeehaw-worthy canine spectacular.
🎪 New thrills like the aerial acrobatics of I-FLIP, the high-energy Drag Me to the Big Top, and the Flying Fools High Dive Show will keep your jaw on the floor.
🍔 The food? Oh, it’s here to steal the show — with fair classics, outrageous eats, and enough lemonade stands to keep you cool through the hottest days.
🎶 Nightlife vibes continue at the Freedom Mobile Stage with tribute acts, party bands, and the electric Remix Inferno pyro music spectacular lighting up the sky.
Plus, the Kidz Discovery Farm, Sands of Wonder sand-sculpting showcase, and that coveted PNE Prize Home Lottery give you plenty to explore between bites and beats.
The Fair runs daily from 11 am to 11 pm (closed August 18 & 25). Pro tip: Buy tickets early for discounts — and grab your concert seats now before they sell out. Because if summer had a soundtrack, a snack lineup, and a skyline of neon-lit rides? It would be the PNE Fair. See you there. —Vita Daily

OCD treatment has come such a long way, and it’s encouraging to see more awareness around evidence-based approaches like Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). It’s important for people to know that OCD is treatable and that with the right support, therapy, and sometimes medication, recovery is absolutely possible. Everyone’s journey is different, but no one has to go through it alone.
