My first stay at the Four Seasons Orlando was during the holiday buzz of December 2023—a magical, over-the-top few days. Returning 18 months later, the hotel still ranks among my top five properties worldwide. It’s equally brilliant for families and adults traveling solo, which is a rare balance.
Pulling up in the Golden Oak neighbourhood—a treelined enclave of private lakeside residences developed by Four Seasons—already feels luxe. Inside, photos don’t tell the whole story: the lobby is relaxed and welcoming, check-in breezy, and the staff genuinely anticipatory. There’s even a Disney World desk with a park cast member on hand to sort tickets, reservations and the confusing Genie+ details (lifesaver when you realize half your party’s tickets are on the wrong date).
Rooms lean suite-like, with walk-in closets, large bathrooms, Bose speakers, Nespresso machines and Atelier Cologne amenities. During a recent adults-only stay we loved the lake and pool views; during a family stay, the space swallowed two adults and my energetic niece without anyone feeling cramped.
Pools are a major selling point: an adults-only infinity pool for quiet laps, a larger family pool, and my favourite—an ultra-relaxing lazy river. Two hot tubs and ample loungers mean no frantic pool-chair wars. Fitness fans get a spacious gym, too.
The spa stands out. The Healing Honey treatment—an 80-minute deep-tissue massage using warmed local honey followed by a Himalayan salt exfoliation—is possibly one of the best massages I’ve had outside of a destination spa. Don’t skip the steam room, whirlpool or Dyson hair dryers in the change rooms.
For coffee and casual bites, Lickety Split on-site is a pleasant surprise; pop in for a pistachio latte and pastry or an afternoon gelato. It’s also a handy spot to do light work between pool dips.
Dining is a highlight. On the 17th floor, Michelin-starred Capa delivers a Spanish-leaning steakhouse experience that’s unforgettable—order the Prime New York Strip and the para todos sauce flight for maximum drama. Ravello downstairs channels true Italian flavors, and the breakfast buffet is generous (the waffle station is not to be missed). Family travellers should pre-book the Disney character breakfast—Mickey and friends make the rounds and it’s pure joy for little ones.
What elevates the Four Seasons Orlando isn’t only pretty rooms and great pools, but service that anticipates needs and smooths out travel hiccups. If you want to step off property, Disney Springs is nearby for shopping and treats (hello Gideon’s Bakehouse cookies), and Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ is a solid dinner choice.
Bottom line: whether you’re planning a family trip or an adults-only reset, Four Seasons Orlando somehow manages both—luxurious comfort, kid-friendly programming and top-tier service make it a stay worth repeating. —Cassie Gill
