Kids on Film

February 15, 2013

When it comes to movies for kids, we know that Disney and Pixar too
often steal the show.

But there’s a world of film out there to discover beyond the multiplex.
So this Family Day (and again on March 16 and 17), the TIFF
Bell Lightbox
is offering a slate of free screenings and activities
for kids of all ages. Reel Rascals, for instance, puts together animated
animal-themed shorts from five countries for the 4-7 set; older kids can
meet the director of documentary Magic Camp, which goes behind
the scenes at a summer camp for children who want to be professional
magicians.

Sure beats an 87th showing of Cars or The Little Mermaid.
