We’ve got a standing request for any and all U.K. visitors: a Cadbury Fruit and Nut bar and a Grazia magazine.
But, thanks to newly opened Newland & Jump, we won’t be caught salivating at the international arrivals terminal anymore. We’re heading to this Mile End boutique, created by the team behind Burgundy Lion and Bishop & Bagg, to stock up on our favourite British sweets and snacks, including Rowntree Fruit Gums, Tate & Lyle Golden Syrup, chocolate drops, brown sauce, Ribena and Heinz beans in tomato sauce, as well as Brit-inpired but locally made fare, like Banoffee pie by Léché Desserts and tartare-sauce by Old Montreal’s Brit & Chips. There will even be a proper tea service starting soon; till then you can enjoy a cuppa and a cheddar and Branston Pickle sandwich at the in-store counter.
Throw in Idris Elba and we might just move in. —Jennifer Nachshen
