Say it fast enough and it sounds like beaucoupbut theres actually
nothing French about it.
Bookhou, boasting
100 per cent Canadian wares designed by husband and wife duo John Booth
and Arounna Khounnoraj, is a haven for all things local, natural, and
handmade.
Booths benches, chairs and tables are built from Ash sourced from a
Mennonite village up north, while all the pillows, napkins and soft toys
are made from natural linens, cottons and wools.
Each baby quilt ($195) is one-of-a-kind, and the one hanging on the
store wall is made entirely from remnants. Napkins ($25 for a set of
five), fabric storage boxes ($35) and totes ($65) all feature
Khounnorajs whimsical designs screen-printed upon them.
No, nothing Frenchbut beaucoup to love.
