Most of us are lucky enough to have one or two great careers in a
lifetime; Swedish-born writer Ulla Ryghe has had an astonishing five.
Born in 1924, her exceptional life includes working around the world as
a farmer, actress, journalist, script editor, and film editor to
director Ingmar Bergman in the 1960s (a time when this was an unheard of
profession for women).
Her engaging memoir, Travels
in Wonderland, is a testament that were never too old to try
something new.
