Alberta Chef Invasion

April 29, 2015

edible canadaGranville Island’s Edible Canada is making cross-Canadian eating dreams come true with its Coast to Coast Market Dinner Series—a once-monthly event featuring culinary talent from every part of the country.

On May 4th, three of Alberta’s most-respected chefs—Eden Hrabec of Canmore’s Crazyweed Kitchen, David Bohati of Calgary’s Market and Blair Lebsack of Edmonton’s RGE RD—will cook up a feast to prove Prairie palettes are more than just steak and perogies. Tickets are $99 each and, according to Lebsack, who’ll be cooking up free-roaming beef from Nature’s Green Acres outside Edmonton, sour cherries gleaned from the same city’s backyards and local spaghetti squash and farrow (plus some Alberta spirits), “We actually want to build a dining culture; we want people to dine out all the time."

Trust us, this is one culinary rodeo you don’t want to miss. —Miranda Post
