Dining & Wine

Calling all food lovers, wine sippers, and Okanagan road-trippers: the Pig Out Festival Weekend is officially returning May 1–2, 2026—and tickets are now on sale. If you’ve ever dreamed of pairing bold BBQ flavours with award-winning wines while wandering through budding vineyards, this is your moment.

Hosted at Cellar Door & More in Oliver, this year’s theme, “Let’s Feast,” promises an even bigger flavour celebration, featuring local and guest chefs, BC’s top butchers, interactive demos, an artisan market, theatre, family-friendly fun, and of course, unlimited wine country vibes.

“Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country is one of those places where the wine, food and community come together in a way that feels really special,” says Jennifer Busmann, the region’s executive director. And with B.C. Meats for B.C. Families supporting the weekend’s star attraction—a sprawling feast of meats prepared throughout the site—2026 is shaping up to be the festival’s most mouthwatering year yet.

What’s New for 2026: The VIP Experience

For the first time ever, festival-goers can upgrade to a VIP ticket for early entry and access to an outdoor lounge complete with craft cocktails, library wines, live music, and up-close demos from Canadian Butcher Team member Ronnie Keely and B.C.’s Best Butcher winner, Michael Hecken. VIPs also leave with a welcome gift curated with specialty meat shop promos, winery treats, and more.

Start the Weekend in Style: Guest Chef Dinner

The fun kicks off Friday, May 1, with a family-style feast at Sweetgrass Restaurant at Nk’Mip Cellars. Led by Chef Shawn Cheer and paired with top wines from Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country, the evening blends local ingredients, butchery demos, BBQ mastery, and a breathtaking vineyard setting—a perfect warm-up for a weekend of celebrating the South Okanagan’s culinary scene.
