Three Vanier Park Museums, One Easy (and Affordable) Cultural Outing
Vancouver culture lovers, this one’s for you. Starting February 1, 2026, a stroll through Vanier Park just got even better. The Vancouver Maritime Museum and Museum of Vancouver—already beloved for their Pay-What-You-Can Sundays—are being joined by the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre, making the first Sunday of every month a full-on culture crawl.
The idea is simple and lovely: explore maritime history, local stories, and the wonders of space without financial barriers, all in one waterfront park. Whether you’re diving into Arctic voyages, brushing up on Vancouver’s past, or gazing at the stars under the planetarium dome, Vanier Park becomes a choose-your-own-adventure destination for curious minds of all ages.
Pay-What-You-Can Sundays are designed to make learning, discovery, and creativity more accessible—perfect for families, students, date days, or anyone looking for a meaningful way to spend a Sunday. Mark your calendar, grab a friend, and make a habit of it. Culture, but make it welcoming. —Noa Nichol
