Expand your palate with a classic cocktail.

We once thought of bourbon as a drink for dads, but the revival of
classic cocktails has us reaching for a glass of our own. And while
Eddie Russell, associate master distiller for Wild
Turkey Bourbon, prefers his bourbon on the rocks, he recommends
newbies start with cocktails to help acquire the taste. He created Wild
Turkey 81 specifically to star in mixed drinks. Pick up some coupe
glasses (we love the vintage
options at BYOB) and mix up a classic Manhattan with this recipe
(below) from the County
General.
Wild Turkey Manhattan
2 healthy oz. Wild Turkey Bourbon
1 oz. Sweet Vermouth (Cinzano or Martini)
2-4 dashes of Angostura Bitters
Stir in a large mixing glass with lots of ice, then strain into a glass
filled with fresh ice. Garnish with a cherry or a long zest of orange.
