New Sips: BarFish

barfishJust when we thought we couldn’t like Blowfish—our longtime pick for sushi—any better, the restaurant’s gone and added BarFish.

The outdoor space on the eastside of the resto has been enclosed and recreated into a sleek and slender bar that serves traditional bevvies alongside seasonal Japanese-inspired cocktails, such as the delicious pomegranate saketini. Best of all, our favourite nibbles from Blowfish (those addictive Spicy Rock Shrimp—mmm) can be ordered right from the bar. Come later this year, private dining rooms and a rooftop patio will open on the upper levels above the bar space.

We may just get a “gone fishing” sign, so people know where to find us. —Karen Kwan
