Every now and then we hear a voice that makes us listen up.
Her name is Maya Arulpragasam (stage name M.I.A) and the lyrics are
smart, subversive and politically charged.
Crossing all genres (hip-hop, rap, electro-funk and punk) this
29-year-old Sri Lankan Tamil has an upbeat sound that is hard not to
love.
