We cant claim to be experts, but several years ago we went absolutely
gaga over a modern dance show called Minus One at Place des Arts.
Turns out, Gaga is the name of Israeli choreographer Ohad
Naharins daring, dramatic and playful style. In one number, dancers
break the fourth-wall rule by inviting audience members on stage to
perform with them. We were so captivated that evening we went back the
second night.
Now Les
Grand Ballet Canadiens is presenting a trio of Naharins works,
including the world premiere of Danz featuring his very first
ballet-sur-pointes sequence.
Were so excited, we might even see it twice.
