Lacroix may be a name most associated with Absolutely Fabulous
and fashionable frocks, but in Montreal it belongs to the citys own
design commissioner (the first in North America), Marie-Josée Lacroix.
For almost 20 years shes been an international champion for local
architects, urban planners, graphic, fashion and industrial designers
who, she says, improve the quality of our everyday lives.
To spread the love, Lacroix has encouraged 70 award-winning designers
across the island to throw open their doors this
weekend. Take a tour of downtowns swishiest lobbies, meet the
hottest eco-architects or learn what inspired Helmers
latest couture collection (our favorite show at last months fashion
week).
