FOOD FOR THOUGHT

May 3, 2008

Eco-groovy vegans have shopped here for yonks, but Torontos Karma
Food Store
is still a secret to many.

Hidden off an Annex alleyway, this little 30-year-old non-profit
co-operative (a $70 membership allows you to shop here) boasts a broad
range of local and organic produce, organic bulk foods and household
supplies.

A vast array of herbs, teas, spices and fairly traded coffee beans are
worth a membership as are the organic meats from Beretta, Fenwood and
Rowe Farm.

Can you keep a secret?
