Grace n. short prayer of thanks for a meal.
Named after owner Lesle Gibsons grandmother, Grace is one of the most
delightful restaurants in the city.
In Little Italy where Xacutti once was, the décor is simple and elegant
(we love the Tiffany blue walls and framed vintage photos) and the
service is subtle and efficient.
The food (modern farmhouse) hits every spot. To start, try the asparagus
salad with mini boiled potatoes, a soft egg (boiled to perfection)
olives and baby tomatoes. And for mains, the chicken potpie, ($18),
poached halibut ($24), and port steak with bone marrow ($25) are all
winners.
Leave space for warm slices of carrot cake ($8) with mascarpone ice
cream and orange honey butter.
Bon Appétit.
