Triple Happiness

January 23, 2009

This Monday marks the start of Chinese New Year, to celebrate you:
a)
Take out your friends for a thrice palette pleasing prix-fixe.
b)
Order take-out.

We dont need a fortune cookie to tell us the answer to this one.

Making sure we all ring the Year of the Ox in right, Wild
Rice
is serving a sumptuous $25 three-course table dhôte that
satisfies.

Oxtail dumplings and shrimp ceviche in a decadent beef jus start things
off, followed by a main of braised beef shank coupled with 5 treasure
rice (the loot within being cashews, shitakes, water chestnuts, pea
shoots and lap cheung sausage), then sweetly capped off with red bean
and white chocolate jiaoza drizzled with star anise-infused caramel.

Needless to say, we left feeling full of prosperity.
