Horsing Around

May 27, 2009

As a child, we begged our parents for a pony. All we got was a hamster,
but our equestrian obsession never waned.

To this day, the very thought of an evening surrounded by Appaloosas and
Arabians makes us swoon with little-girl fervor. Cavalia
is a bit of ballet on four legs as dancers and horses (46 flown in from
Europe) perform striking choreographed routines under a big white tent.

It sure beats our old My Little Pony collection.

Cavalia, until June 14, Under the White Big Top, Metropolitain
Blvd. (corner of Decarie); tickets from $44 (Horse Lover package
includes first rows seats and visit to the Cavalia stables, $125),
1-866-999-8111, www.cavalia.net
