Forget cramped residences and cafeteria food, the new Hotel
Alma on the University of Calgary campus is all luxe with no
student-slumming in sight.
Three floors of the European-style boutique hotel are dedicated to hotel
guests (rooms start at $109) and three floors are for students (the
rooms are rented out in the summer months) in addition to a sleek lobby
and five meeting rooms. Guests have access to the universitys fitness
facilities and the stay includes a continental breakfast at the
downstairs Ikea-esque Bistro
Alma that also serves a lunch and dinner.
Hang out on campus without the worries of looming papers, midterms and
the tuition money you used to buy beer at The Den.
