Art Bar

December 4, 2009

When Charlie Iranis gallery closed its doors, tongues wagged along
Robert Street. What would replace the quirky art venue?

In its place came a café-cum-bar that even the crankiest of neighbours
approves of. By day, Charlies Gallery (the new owners kept the name)
serves up cappuccinos and panini, and by night, its cocktails all round.

Exposed brick walls and loungey banquettes give the space a warm,
relaxed feel, while the ever-changing artwork is a nod to its
predecessor.

We suggest a Van Gogh martini to kick off your own Starry Night.

Charlies Gallery, 112 Harbord St., Toronto, 416-961-2828.
