Socks Rock

Not since the days of "bobby-soxers" have socks been such a fashion
craze. Rihanna pairs a sparkly ankle sock with pointy pump while
Leighton Meester opts for a black sock/black platform combo.

exhibit pays homage to the not-so-lowly sock. See the pretty pink
silk stockings worn by Queen Victoria or a sock dating back to the
thirteenth century made of human hair.
