Circus Acts

September 22, 2010

Gasps of fear and sighs of wonder can be heard echoing nightly
throughout The Grand Chapiteau since Cirque
du Soleils Kooza
rolled into town.

The new show is about what the creators call a return to circus
traditions, bringing together two fundamental forces: acrobatics and
clowning. Writer and director David Shiner knows a thing or two about
the latter (he started out as a mime in Paris and has been in the
clowning business for over 25 years).

As for the acrobatics, think contortionists, wheels of death,
teeterboard acts on stilts and trapeze and high wire stunts.

Just remember to breathe.

Until October 24, find tickets here.
