If hubby is more fixated on assists than assisting with dinner now that
hockey season has started, throw in the tea towel and sup at McLeans
Restaurant.
The namesake establishment of owner and former Canucks’ goalie Kirk
McLean isnt your standard sports bar. Head downstairs for game watching
and youll find grey flannel booths, delicate lighting and mon dieu!
even a few fresh flowers. Warming up the requisite flatscreens in the
room are black and white personal photos and hockey memorabilia like
vintage skates.
What would Kirk order before the big game? A Canadian beer and the
Sterling Silver Pork Chop, he says.
If you cant beat em, join em (and order a glass of pinot gris).
