First there was Joni, then Elton and now, Sarah.
Alberta Ballets newest musical collaboration pays tribute to the music
of Canadian songstress, Sarah McLachlan in Fumbling
Towards Ecstasy. Named after McLachlans 1993 album, the ballet
is about a womans journey through the stages of life set to a variety of
her tunes including ones from the title album, and older classics such
as 1991s Into The Fire and from her debut album, Vox, and Bens Song. The
ballet also boasts costumes designed by Paul Hardy and video projections
by Adam Larsen.
Cue the teen angst memories. MG
Fumbling Towards Ecstasy runs May 4-7 in Calgary; tickets here.
