tacos to the east

Things just got a little spicier east of the Don.

Taking up residence in the old Le Rossignol Bistro space, Toucan Taco
Bar serves up tasty Mexican basics from slow-cooked pulled pork
enchiladas and chorizo nachos to cactus salad and chipotle shrimp
burritos (from $4).

What TTB lacks in ambiance it more than makes up for in picante. We
filled up on platters of blackened catfish with mole and mango salsa
while eyeing bottles of hard-to-find tequilas like Mañana and Mezcal
Enmascarado.

When the weather warms, youll find us sipping beergaritas ($10) on the
cantinas back patio. Salud to that. Marianne Wisenthal
