Design-director-cum-roving-taco-man is how Toronto Life sums up Andrew
Richmond, the man spearheading Torontos taco revolution. His La Carnita
pop-ups cooked up huge crowds. Prepare for line-ups down College St.
when his first permanent spot opens in June. In the meantime, this is
where youll find him noshing.

Andrew Richmond on Beast
Being asked to select your favourite local restaurant, at least in a
city like Toronto, is quite a difficult task. Impossible even. So let me
select one of my favourites, Beast,
from chefs Scott and Rachelle Vivian. Beast is culinary brilliance in my
books. The mix of strong flavours, carefully sourced ingredients, and
southern influences continues to blow me away. I also love how Scott and
Rachelle didnt start with a concept and build from there. Instead they
seem to have started with the simple idea of good food and then
integrate conceptual or thematic elements if and when they work. And in
terms of a favourite dish, it has to be the beastwich off their brunch
menu. Calling it mouthwatering would be a compliment to the term
mouthwatering. Andrew Richmond
