Viva La Playa

July 6, 2012

Its a far cry from Jamaica (TK), but our little island now boasts a
beach of its own.

Nestled alongside the Quai de lHorloge in the Old Port, the all-new urban
beach
– modeled after those found in Paris along the Seine – offers
plenty of sand to sink our toes into but alas, no swimming: its a dry
beach, unless you count misting stations for cooling off.

Whether you tan the day away ($6 or $27 season pass) or catch the
fireworks (open until 11 p.m. on fireworks nights), its the ultimate
spot to staycation in style. Christine Laroche
