And Jian Ghomeshi wanted to be David Bowie.

The wildly popular host and co-creator of Q has released his first
literary memoir, 1982 ($30), and we can hardly put it down. He
tells the (often hilarious) story of a teenage boy growing up in Canada
in the 80s, giving us an all-new perspective on the Canadian broadcaster.
To get even more up-close-and-personal with Ghomeshi, were heading to
his book launch on Wednesday, October 3 ($5). Christine Laroche
Drawn & Quarterly, 211 Bernard St. W., Montreal, 514-279-2224; book
launch details here.
