Sometimes being fashion forward requires going wayyyyyy back.
We stepped into a style time-machine this weekend and landed in an era
when men smoked cigars and women wore gloves. We donned our fancy hats
and pearls for the Deighton Cup anchor event, Thoroughbred at the
historic Hastings Race Course in Vancouver.
This event brought out the most stylish women and men we’ve seen in
Vancouver. As the Tubaluba band played, and Champagne flowed, we were
enchanted by the shoes, dresses, fascinators and hats. One hat, actually
had little horses, a track and the cup on it!
The most noteworthy attendee had to have been Miss America, who wore a
stunning black and cream dress with matching fascinator.
