Next stop: Midtown

October 11, 2013

Fall weather calls for a frosty pint and some comfort food.

From its prime Kensington location Midtown
Kitchen & Bar
is serving up old-school favourites like gourmet
grilled cheese, crispy fried chicken and fish and chips (made from
Pacific cod) made from locally-sourced ingredients, including bacon
cured in-house.

We dug into the small plate style oysters, meat and cheese boards and
flatbreads and spent a while perusing the extensive beer and drink list
before settling on a spiked watermelon cocktail.

Now, about that house-cured bacon. Sara Samson
