Named after its owner, newly opened Gastown shop Litchfield mirrors how he and his siblings grew up in Japan: Everything is equally beautiful, well-made and functional.
The Alpaka 100 per cent baby alpaca scarves (from $270), Maison Martin Margiela Tabi bookmark ($59.95) and Almare Toscana 24-hour bag ($425) immediately caught our eye, while our bathrooms and kitchens could use the Fig + Yarrow floral milk bath ($36.95) and The Essential New York Times Cookbook ($40). Bringing the family tie full circle are the colourful axes (from $200), handmade by Litchfield’s brother.
If only we could move in. —May Globus
