Mrs. Green’s Natural Market opened its first Canadian location in Calgary and it’s been awhile (OK, forever) since we’ve been this excited about a health food store.
The huge natural and organic market is more like a grocery store thanks to the full bakery/deli, organic produce and the other staples like cheese, bread and meats. Clean, natural foods is the focus of the market, so much of the produce, meats and dairy are coming from local suppliers, as is packaged products like Hardbite chips from Maple Ridge, B.C. or Kicking Horse Coffee.
The dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan types can rejoice in restriction-less food heaven thanks to the deli’s plentiful food-to-go options and the carnivores will also appreciate the local and organic meats.
