When we were invited to join Michael Bublé in celebrating the release of his sister’s new children’s book, we literally jumped at the chance.
On Tuesday night we joined a large crowd in Vancouver’s Kidsbooks to hear Brandee Bublé (and, yes, we admit, catch a glimpse of her celebrity crooner bro) debut her book, entitled O’Shae the Octopus and available for pre-order on Amazon ($13.83).
Drawing on her experience as both a mom and special-needs educator, Brandee’s tale of an octopus born with 10 arms instead of eight touches on the power of inclusion and acceptance. Though bullies may always haunt the schoolyard, parents can use this beautifully illustrated storybook to help inspire their little ones to take pride in what makes them unique.
Talent certainly runs deep in the Bublé family. —Elizabeth Hewitt
