Good Eats: Pain Perdu Bistro

pain perdu bistroMocha, croissants, baked brie … oh my!

A hidden uptown treasure, Pain Perdu Bistro is as homey and welcoming as you want a French bakery to be. It’s also where we get our morning coffee fix and gather for lunch with friends. Our main amours: to-die-for mochas topped with whip and strawberry (the secret, we’re told, is "real cocoa, of course") and melt-in-your-mouth chocolate almond croissants. For a meal, try the baked brie green salad with simple ingredients and a light, tangy vinaigrette, or fill up with a fluffy crusted quiche that perfectly fits what comfort food on a cold day (they’re coming!) should be.
