New Eats: Denizen Hall

Edmonton’s newest nightlife hot spot is putting a real spin on the traditional tavern.

Located in the old Richelieu space just one block west of City Centre Mall, the recently opened Denizen Hall offers much more than your typical watering hole. For starters, there’s wall-to-wall black velvet artwork and old-school arcade games, including Nascar, Walking Dead and Jurassic Park-themed machines. Play as you sip a pint of Yellowhead Beer, brewed just down the street, then take a moment to refuel on favourite comfort foods: buttermilk biscuits, mini corn dogs, country fried chicken and glazed pork ribs. Finish things off with a slice of chocolate pecan pie topped with bourbon whipped cream.
