Famed oyster-purveyor and P.E.I.-native Rodney Clark has set up shop in the Beltline with the city’s first Rodney’s Oyster House.
This huge, lively restaurant seats up to 300 people and also has private rooms for large parties (seriously, who else is planning an oyster-shucking shindig?). Each day there are half-a-dozen varieties of oysters available from both Canadian coasts and the United States. While oysters certainly are the draw here, Rodney’s offers a plethora of seafood on menu, from live lobsters and crab to scallops and mussels, as well as salmon, tuna and shrimp. For a quick lunch, check out the Bait and Tackle takeout counter, where you can pick up to-go items like fish and chips or clam chowder.
The oyster has landed. —Sara Samson
