New Eats: Trilogie

trilogieFar from the hustle and bustle of Chinatown is Trilogie—an Asian restaurant that brings peaceful surroundings and punchy flavours to the Villeray neighborhood.

Open only for lunch, this eatery is a family affair, with owner Anita Feng’s aunts in the kitchen and mother and sister running the service up front. We ordered a round of vegetarian dumplings and found coriander, sesame seeds, green onions and crushed peanuts packed inside. Next, a crushed cucumber salad balanced with a black vinegar, spicy house sauce, dried chilies, Sichuan rosemary and spicy peanut dressing.

Trilogie is a perfect trifecta: family, delectable dishes and a perfect space. —Ariella Starkman
