You must either be in-the-know or on-the-lookout to discover Bar Fancy—a quaint little hole-in-the-wall bustling with first dates and happy-hour reunions.
With no sign or entrance on Queen West itself, head down the alley to the right of the plant-filled window toward the neon tiger sign. Enter through the the inconspicuous door below and you’ve arrived. Inside: half-price oysters, two-bucks-a-piece fried chicken and a tasteful craft beer and wine list (and, contrary to the name, a laid-back and comfortable, young and hip vibe). Oh, and did we mention our waiter was the spitting image of Bradley Cooper?
Worth the search. —Maggie Rebalski
