Following a busy shopping day in Yorkville (we checked out the new La Boutique Noire), we opted to relax with a fancy cup of tea—talk about a sound decision!
MoRoCo Chocolat offers its delectable afternoon tea daily, complete with a three-tier tray of delicacies, your choice of tea (try the exclusive MoRoCo Blend of macadamia nuts and cocoa) or sipping chocolate. Champagne is an option as well. As for those treats, think vanilla scones drizzled with Devonshire cream, lemon curd and seasonal preserves (the red currant jelly’s to die for), savoury finger sandwiches, and a rotating assortment of pastries—we enjoyed mint and apple crisp, coffee macaroons, dark-choco truffles filled with dulce de leche and pannacotta topped with a gold-dusted raspberry. Did we mention everything is made in house?
After, you may feel stuffed, but do yourself a favour and stop at be sure to stop at MoRoCo’s boutique for handmade s’mores, truffles and eclairs. Bottoms up! —Amanda Nunes
