Walk into Tommy Café at any given time of day and you’ll likely be stunned by the beauty of the most Instagrammable coffee shop in Old Montreal and its equally gorgeous clientele.
Once you shake your awe, grab a double allongé and make your way upstairs to the loft, where you’ll feel like you’re hanging at a friend’s cool digs. Lounge on an eclectic mix of mid-century modern furniture while gazing down at the other coffee-lovers taking advantage of the free Wi-Fi. Hungry? Try a piece of traditional pastry, like a croissant or chocolatine. And, if you’re really famished, opt for a breakfast sandwich (we tried and loved the triple-decker scrambled egg, apple and ham on a lazy, rainy Sunday morn).
Oh, and be sure to check in to Tommy after work for happy hour—this café is licensed to serve up a good time. —Carrie MacPherson
